The Software House

mural and room sign with titanic symbol

The Software House is a custom software development company, based in Gliwice, Poland. Blank Studio designed the interior signage system for their office, housed in an old post office building. The designers created a black and white signage system, designed to complement the interior design of the space.

The signs use a unique typeface and playful graphics. The friendly and casual style of the icons reflect the company’s working atmosphere. Custom symbols were developed to identify the conference rooms, depicting their quirky staff-designated nicknames, such as “Cat” and “Jungle”. Conference room signs have a moving plate, that can be raised or lowered to reveal a surprise “animated” icon and indicate the occupancy of the conference room. Cost effective and simple materials such as plywood are elevated through the designs.
